The Story Behind the Gifts
Behind these beautiful creations is a dedicated and hardworking elderly gentleman living with an orthopaedic disability. Before joining Overstrand APD, he worked as a builder, using his practical skills to create and support others. Today, he continues to share his talents through crafting decorative Christmas trees and carefully sorting abalone shells used in many of the branch’s products.
His story reflects what makes these gifts so special. Each item is created with care, skill and pride, while supporting meaningful opportunities for persons with disabilities in the community.
