Nestled in the heart of the Karoo, Laingsburg APD is creating opportunities through skills development and entrepreneurship.  The branch’s Skills & Work Centre empowers beneficiaries to learn new skills, produce quality handmade products and earn an income through meaningful work.  This Festive Season, Laingsburg APD offers a range of practical, affordable and personalised gifts that are perfect for family, friends, colleagues, and clients.

Many of the products featured in this year’s gifting guide are made by beneficiaries who have received specialised training through the Skills & Work Centre.  One exciting success story began when funding enabled the centre to purchase a sublimation printer and heat press.  Beneficiaries were trained to operate the equipment using an Easy-to-Read instruction guide, allowing them to produce high-quality customised products with confidence and independence.  Today, their personalised mugs have become a popular favourite among customers who keep coming back for more.  The branch’s sewing projects have also grown from local demand, including their much-loved silk hair accessory sets, which were first developed following a request from a local hair salon.  What started as a single order quickly became one of the centre’s top-selling products.

Create a gift that’s truly personal.  These ceramic mugs can be printed with your favourite photograph, company logo, special message, artwork, or design of your choice.
