At Bergrivier APD, creativity and practical skills come together to produce quality handmade products while providing meaningful opportunities for beneficiaries. Through the branch’s woodwork and handcraft departments, participants learn valuable workplace and life skills while contributing to the creation of products that are both useful and affordable.  Every item sold helps support this important work and demonstrates the capabilities, dedication and creativity of the people involved.

Each product tells a story of learning, teamwork and personal growth.  Beneficiaries in the woodwork department craft wooden educational blocks and fire starters, while the handcraft team adds finishing touches such as painting and decorating.  The recycled denim aprons are created from donated jeans collected from the local community, giving new life to materials that might otherwise go to waste.  Through this process, participants gain practical experience, develop confidence and earn an income from their work.

Whether you’re shopping for children, family members, colleagues or festive gifting, Bergrivier APD offers something unique:

The sale of these products helps create meaningful opportunities for beneficiaries to develop skills, gain confidence and earn an income.  The workshop environment encourages independence, personal growth and a sense of achievement, while providing opportunities for participants to showcase their talents and contribute to their community.  Every purchase helps sustain these activities and invest in the ongoing development of the people involved.

This Festive Season, choose gifts that make a difference.  Whether you’re buying a stocking filler, a gift for a braai enthusiast or an educational toy for a child, Bergrivier APD’s handmade products offer something special while supporting a meaningful cause.
