MiAPD: My APD, Your APD, Our APD
As we step boldly into 2026, our theme is clear: MiAPD, and with it’s own unique identity! This year, WCAPD calls on every branch, partner, and stakeholder to stand shoulder‑to‑shoulder with persons with disabilities. Inclusion is not the responsibility of one organisation alone it is a collective commitment that requires each of us to act.
Why MiAPD Matters
It’s not just APD, it’s ‘mi APD’ because inclusion is our shared responsibility. Across our provincial network, WCAPD and its branches are united behind MiAPD, demonstrating our commitment to accessibility and dignity for persons with disabilities. This campaign is about action: inviting communities, businesses, and partners to show up, speak out, and stand with us.
We cannot do this alone. Every voice, every action, and every contribution strengthens our reach and ensures that persons with disabilities can access opportunities equally.
How Stakeholders Can Take Ownership
We invite branches, businesses, and supporters to make MiAPD part of their voice by:
Together, these actions build communities where inclusion is not an aspiration but a reality.
Looking Ahead
As we move towards WCAPD’s 90th birthday celebrations in 2027, we are reminded of the legacy we carry. Few organisations in South Africa share such longevity, and this milestone reflects the trust placed in APD over generations. With MiAPD, we aim to make this call louder than ever, ensuring that our next decade is defined by breakthroughs in accessibility and inclusion.
A Collective Call
An educated workforce, an engaged community, and a united voice are the foundations of inclusion. By embracing MiAPD we remind ourselves that persons with disabilities deserve equal access to opportunities in every sphere of life.
Share your support. Make MiAPD part of your voice. Together, we can create communities where accessibility is the norm, not the exception.
