REINVENTION IN ACTION

Entrepreneur Workshop Energises Teams at Branches in our Western Region

In our previous issue, we shared our excitement around the rollout of the Reinvention Workshops, and we’re so ecstatic to report that the latest two-day session in our Western Region (Cape Town, Tygerberg, Jo-Dolphin, Laingsburg, Olifantsrivier, George, Breede Valley, and Overstrand) has exceeded all expectations.

To say the roadshow was a resounding success would be an understatement!

Staff teams from branches across the region engaged enthusiastically in the sessions and left reenergised, equipped with new tools and ideas to apply within their local scenarios. Already, participants are exploring actionable business ideas inspired by the workshop content, and we can’t wait to see these develop in the weeks to come.

The workshop covered a range of core entrepreneurial topics designed to spark creativity and sustainable innovation within WCAPD’s branches. These included:

  • Identifying local opportunities for social enterprise
  • Basic budgeting and financial planning
  • Marketing with limited resources
  • Understanding your community’s needs as a foundation for service design
  • Building partnerships and networks for impact
  • Storytelling for funding and visibility

Staff were particularly energised by the interactive format, which combined practical tools, real-world examples, and peer collaboration. Watch these videos of team feedback.

Keep an eye on our upcoming issues as we showcase the innovations sparked by this workshop. And if your branch hasn’t yet participated, don’t worry, Southern Region we’ll see you in Hartenbos 16 and 17 July! Check your inboxes for final confirmations!
