BUILDING SUSTAINABLE FUTURES: Entrepreneurial Training for APD Branches
As APD branches continue to innovate and develop income-generating activities, it’s clear that entrepreneurial spirit is thriving across our organisation. To ensure the long-term sustainability of these ventures, our teams require the right training and knowledge to succeed.
Entrepreneurial Training for Sustainable Businesses
WCAPD has identified a need to offer our Reinvention Workshop, a unique and valuable opportunity for our branches to develop the skills and confidence needed to drive entrepreneurial success. This workshop, valued at R4,500 per person, is being offered at NO COST to APD branches, demonstrating our commitment to staff development and growth in the field of disability support and entrepreneurship.
The Reinvention Workshop: Igniting Innovation, Passion, and Creativity
Created by Liezl van der Westhuizen (Creatividad), this workshop is designed to spark passion, build confidence, and equip staff to thrive in their roles while effectively supporting persons with disabilities in enterprise initiatives. The two-day workshop will cover essential topics such as:
- Creativity and innovation in business development
- Entrepreneurship and business planning
- Strategies for sustainable business growth
Regional Workshops
We are hosting two regional Reinvention Workshops:
- Western Region: 18 – 19 June 2025 at Jo-Dolphin/Swartland APD in Malmesbury
- Southern Region: 16 – 17 July 2025 in Hartenbos
Why Entrepreneurial Training Matters
As we continue to support and empower persons with disabilities through entrepreneurial initiatives, it’s essential that we provide our staff with the necessary training and resources to succeed. By investing in our team’s development, we can ensure that our branches are equipped to drive innovation and growth, ultimately benefiting the individuals and communities we serve.
The Future of Sustainable Businesses
We’re beyond excited to see our branches embark on this entrepreneurial journey and look forward to the innovative ideas and success stories that will emerge. We’ll be reporting on the progress and successes of the branches’ small businesses in future issues of the newsletter, showcasing the impact of this valuable training and the entrepreneurial spirit of our APD branches.
