WCAPD HAS A SEAT AT THE TABLE: Securing a Key Role on the Provincial Disability Forum’s Policy Task Team

WCAPD has secured a vital position on the Provincial Disability Forum’s Policy Task Team, with our Awareness and Sensitisation Manager, Erica du Toit, appointed to serve on this influential team.  This milestone ensures WCAPD’s voice is heard in shaping disability policies and legislation, something about which we are extremely excited!

Our participation on the Policy Task Team will ensure that the needs and concerns of the Western Cape’s disability community are represented, inform policy decisions that impact their lives, and foster collaboration between government, civil society, and stakeholders.  By serving on the Policy Task Team, WCAPD is committed to promoting inclusivity and shaping a more equitable society for all.

Well done, Erica!

What is the Provincial Disability Forum?

The Provincial Disability Forum is a platform that brings together various stakeholders, including government departments, disability organisations, and individuals with disabilities, to promote and protect the rights of the disability community.  The Forum aims to foster collaboration, provide a voice for those who need it most, and advocate for inclusive policies and practices.
