CELEBRATING ENTREPRENEURIAL SPIRIT: Oudtshoorn APD’s Gala Evening

In an earlier article on entrepreneurial training for APD branches, we highlighted the importance of developing sustainable businesses and supporting persons with disabilities through enterprise initiatives.  One branch that is already far advanced on their entrepreneurial journey is the Oudtshoorn APD, which recently hosted a Gala Evening to celebrate the spirit of entrepreneurship and acknowledge the hard work of their beneficiaries.

A Night to Remember

The evening, held in March, was a celebration of the Oudtshoorn APD’s 44 beneficiaries who worked tirelessly over the last year to fulfil orders for their popular O-So-Eggy earrings.  These beautiful creations, made from the shells of ostrich eggs, have become a hit with women around the country.  The beneficiaries’ dedication and hard work have been instrumental in ensuring the success of this project.

Thanking Supporters

The Gala Evening was also an opportunity for the Oudtshoorn APD to express their gratitude to supporters who have been instrumental in the success of the O-So-Eggy project.  From marketing efforts to financial support, the branch acknowledged the importance of these contributions in helping them achieve their goals.

Looking to the Future

With plans underway to make the O-So-Eggy products available online, the Oudtshoorn APD is poised for even greater success in the future.  This will not only increase accessibility to their products but also provide opportunities for growth and expansion.  The branch’s entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to supporting persons with disabilities are truly inspiring, and we look forward to seeing their continued success.

Empowering Persons with Disabilities through Entrepreneurship

The Oudtshoorn APD’s O-So-Eggy project is a shining example of how entrepreneurship can empower persons with disabilities and provide opportunities for economic independence.  By supporting initiatives like this, we can help create a more inclusive and supportive environment for persons with disabilities to survive and thrive.
