Tembaletu Centre’s baking project is turning ovens into opportunities!

Participants receive hands-on lessons in baking techniques, food safety, and packaging and then sell their freshly made goods to the community. This cycle of training and market practice builds practical skills while promoting an entrepreneurial spirit.

Skills development through the project prepares persons with disabilities for the open labour market by strengthening workplace readiness, customer service confidence, and smallbusiness knowhow. Beyond individual growth, these activities translate into meaningful contributions to households and local economies when inclusion is genuinely embraced.

By supporting baked goods, the community invests directly in livelihoods, dignity, and independence.
