MIDWEEK MOMENTUM: PT Wednesdays at Tembaletu
At Tembaletu, wellness isn’t an add-on, it’s part of how persons with disabilities are supported to thrive, participate fully, and build confidence in everyday life. And every Wednesday, that commitment shows up in motion.
A Weekly Reset (Built for real life)
Every Wednesday from 09:30 to 11:00, Tembaletu beneficiaries, persons with disabilities, head out for a structured group walk to the nearby community sports ground. These sessions are designed with purpose: strengthening stamina, mobility, and resilience so participants are better equipped for their daily developmental activities.
It’s also hands-on leadership. As the facilitator explains: “I lead the Wednesday sessions, walking with the group, keeping the pace steady, and making sure nobody gets left behind.”
For many persons with disabilities, opportunities for safe, consistent physical activity aren’t always easy to access. That’s what makes these sessions so powerful; they create a regular space where movement becomes part of routine, not a once-off event.
The benefits are felt across the board:
Green Fuel Meets Moving Feet
Tembaletu’s approach stays proudly holistic, pairing weekly movement with the nutritional support of its organic Micro Farm. Beneficiaries are encouraged to embrace healthy green eating alongside regular activity, a practical combination that supports:
Looking Ahead: Stronger, Healthier, More Supported in 2026
WCAPD is encouraged by how Tembaletu is turning wellness into a lived practice for persons with disabilities, not a trend, not a poster, but a consistent rhythm that strengthens bodies, clears minds, and reinforces participation. Because at Tembaletu, midweek movement isn’t just exercise. It’s momentum and it’s part of building a healthier, more inclusive 2026.
