As we start counting down to Casual Day on September 5, we’re excited to share this year’s theme: “Beyond the Label: Embracing Unity Through Inclusion and Diversity.”

This theme encourages us to look beyond the surface level and recognise the value and worth of individuals with disabilities.  By supporting Casual Day this year, businesses can promote a culture of inclusivity and diversity, ultimately contributing to a more equitable society.

Why Support Casual Day?

Casual Day is a significant event that raises crucial funds for organizations like WCAPD, supporting critical services and advocacy that empower individuals with disabilities and promote inclusive communities. By participating, businesses can demonstrate their commitment to social responsibility and contribute to creating a more equitable society.

Businesses can Approach Supporting Casual Day by:

• Promoting Inclusive Culture: Use Casual Day as an opportunity to raise awareness about disability inclusion and promote a culture of acceptance and understanding in the workplace.
• Fundraising and Donating: Encourage employees to purchase Casual Day stickers, with proceeds going towards supporting persons with disabilities.
• Team-Building Activities: Organize team-building activities or events that foster camaraderie and educate employees about disability awareness.
