DATA-DRIVEN INSIGHTS: Informing Inclusive Decision-Making

Western Cape APD recently hosted a voice harvesting workshop, bringing together representatives from various branches across the Province.  This interactive session was designed to test and refine a cutting-edge information-gathering tool, which promises to revolutionise the way we make strategic decisions.

The workshop was facilitated by Erna Van Der Westhuizen, who expertly guided participants through a dummy model of the tool.  The group provided valuable feedback, which will be instrumental in shaping the final product.  Once complete, this tool will equip WCAPD and branches with critical insights to inform decision-making and drive sustainable growth.

So, what does this mean for creating an inclusive and accessible society?  By harnessing the power of voice harvesting, we can:

  • Amplify the voices of persons with disabilities, ensuring their needs and concerns are heard and addressed.
  • Gather critical data to inform policy and programming, promoting evidence-based decision-making.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and co-creation, recognising the value of diverse perspectives and expertise.

As we look to the future, we are committed to leveraging this tool to drive positive change and promote a more inclusive and accessible society.  Watch this space for updates on this exciting initiative!

By embracing approaches such as voice harvesting, we can unlock new opportunities for growth, collaboration, and social impact.  For more information, get in touch with us:
