EVERY DAY IS IDPD: Awareness-raising and action around inclusion is a daily commitment

Imagine a world where everyone has equal access to opportunities, resources, and social participation.  A world where persons with disabilities are empowered to reach their full potential.  At WCAPD, we’re committed to making this vision a reality.  And we invite you to join us on this journey.

Our branches across the Western Cape province celebrated International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) with flair, showcasing the talents, skills, and contributions of persons with disabilities.  Laingsburg APD went all out with their incredible event, where beneficiaries took centre stage, sharing their handmade crafts, dance skills, and leadership abilities with visitors to the branch on the day.

But IDPD is more than just a day – it’s a call to action.  A reminder that inclusion is not just a moral imperative, but a collective responsibility.  So, what can you do to be part of this movement?

  • Volunteer: Share your time and skills to enrich persons with disabilities.
  • Donate: Support our programmes and services with a generous donation.
  • Advocate: Use your voice to promote inclusion and accessibility in your community.
  • Partner: Collaborate with us to create a more inclusive society.

By joining hands with WCAPD, you’ll be part of a vibrant community which is passionate about creating positive change.  So, what are you waiting for? Be the change and let’s unlock a world of inclusion together!
